Matt became an EMT-B in 2000 for Preston Ambulance Service in Preston, Mn. where he served as EMS Training Officer for 2 years. Matt began serving with the Palisade Fire Dept. In 2004 and obtained his EMT Intermediate along with his Firefighter 1 Certificates. Matt currently volunteers with Palisade.

Matt began with Grand Valley Fire in 2007. He obtained his Paramedic Certificate in 2009.
